Over the past few months a certain looming question has occupied the bulk of my time dedicated to planning Unity 2012… How do you sell Unity 2012 to young adults? I had spent countless amounts of time trying to find a sufficient answer for this question as if it was the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Fortunately for my sake, I came upon what I believe to be a “key” promotional concept for Unity. The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church has an estimated 9 million followers world wide. This total may seem quite large, but in comparison to other religious denominations our Church is certainly not the biggest. Why does this statistic matter? For the quite obvious reason that outside of Ukraine there are about 4 million UGC’s scattered around the globe. In Canada there is about 126,000….. Every single member plays a critical role in the future of our Church. As the Youth and Young Adults of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canada we all share in that tremendous responsibility. Every single one of us has a part to play in the direction of our Church. For some we find this calling to action for the Church by different vocations taken in our life. However, no matter how you choose to contribute, it is the fact that you do contribute to the Church in any way possible that matters. In August of 2012 there will be a gathering of Ukrainian Catholic Young Adults from not only across Canada, but all over North America. It is a time to not only connect with many individuals who share your same belief, but it is also an unbelievable opportunity to grow in your faith along side the future leaders of the Church. An opportunity to unite not just for 4 days, but to unite the Church nationally for years to come. You all matter. So if you are unsure of your significance within the Church let me reiterate.. YOU MATTER! The idea of Unity 2012 is only possible through the combined efforts of all of the faithful in our Church and this includes YOU! Let Unity 2012 be the beginning of a new trend within the Church. One that supports the consistent unification of the Youth and Young Adults in the Ukrainian Catholic Church. Unity begins with YOU!

God Bless,

Travis Taylor

I will post the answer in a video in a couple of days.

We are going to be posting a few different polls about Budka in honor of the 100th anniversary of his arrival to Canada in 1912.
